Peptide testing questions
Clear answers before you send a sample.
Practical answers about methods, pricing, Canadian mail-in intake, reports, and what laboratory results can—and cannot—show.
01Where can I get peptides tested in Canada?
Canada Peptide Testing accepts approved samples by tracked mail from every Canadian province and territory. Start with an online request so a chemist can confirm the compound, matrix, method, sample amount, and mailing instructions before you ship.
02How much does peptide testing cost in Canada?
Standard testing starts at $249 CAD for HPLC purity, $179 CAD for LC-MS identity, and $379 CAD for a combined identity-and-content package. Tax, shipping, method development, unusual matrices, and reference materials may be additional.
03What is the difference between HPLC and LC-MS peptide testing?
HPLC separates detected components and can estimate chromatographic area purity. LC-MS evaluates mass-to-charge data to support identity. The methods answer different questions and are often ordered together.
04Can I mail a peptide sample to the laboratory?
Yes, after the request is reviewed and accepted. You receive a sample ID, packing slip, approved intake address, and method-specific packing instructions. Unapproved, leaking, hazardous, biological, or controlled materials must not be sent.
05How long does peptide testing take?
The laboratory confirms an estimated turnaround with the accepted scope. Timing starts after the sample is received, accepted, and any required payment is complete; method development or repeat work can change the estimate.
06How much sample is required?
The amount depends on the method, compound, concentration, and matrix. Submit the nominal amount and sample form in the request; the laboratory will confirm the minimum quantity before mailing.
07Does every result include a Certificate of Analysis?
Released testing includes a Certificate of Analysis that identifies the sample, methods, dates, results, and limitations. Public reports also have a verification URL and QR code.
08Are Certificates of Analysis public?
A certificate is added to the public registry only when public release is authorized or included in the service agreement. Private contact details and email addresses are not shown on public pages.
09What does a peptide test prove?
A result answers the analytical questions in the accepted scope for the sample received. It does not establish clinical safety, efficacy, sterility unless specifically tested, regulatory status, or consistency across untested units.
10Do you sell peptides?
No. Canada Peptide Testing is presented as an independent analytical testing service and does not sell the materials it tests.
